Psy'Aviah announced the winners of their twist on a traditional remix contest. "We were looking for bands or talents that would really rework and make Our music their Own!" says Psy'Aviah.
The band chose for "Chaos All Stars feat. Mona Roukachi" with their rework of the track "Something Evil". They broke the rules heavily by also recording a videoclip for their cover version (which was directed by Joachim Ljungquist). Listen & watch the video below:
The track will be featured on the future Psy'Aviah album, which will be called "Introspection / Extrospection", finally the band wishes to add
"thanks again everyone for participating, it was a nice ride! and please don't hate us if we haven't chosen you, it's based on our taste and doesn't mean that the track you made is bad or wrong. We're always open to inqueries. So let's keep in touch!"
The Chaos All Stars is a band or rather gathering of musicians and artists combining their skills in order to create modern, danceable and atmospheric music, based on electronic soundscapes. Formed somewhere in 2005 as a result of the idea of creating a new concept of a band. Founders, being OlkK (also known from the ebm-band Chaos Systems) and Nik (also known vocalist of DSC-Dark Side Cowboys) are the current core of CAS but the band is somewhat like a collective, where various other artists and performers are included at times - hence the name Chaos All Stars. Mona Roukachi is a talented vocalist from Sweden, with origins from Morocco.
She was born and raised in Umea, a city in Northern Sweden. From a very early age, Mona found her passion for singing & song writing. Throughout childhood into her teenage years, Mona evolved her style, rhythms and lyrics by incorporating music elements of her African roots. Mona started to collaborate with producer Henrik Berhane in 2004 and composed several inspirational songs.
