Alfa Matrix knocks off the year 2008 with the signing of the very promising Belarusian female fronted electro-industrial act DIFFUZION. Hailing from Minsk (Belarus), DIFFUZION are Fof (music), Xev (vocals & lyrics) and Taelih (synthesizers & live keyboards).
It was in 2005 that Fof (also known for his EFF DST idm-electronica project) created DIFFUZION with the intention of mixing darkwave/electro-industrial with female vocals and give it an overall club feel. He found in Xev (singer of the famous Belorussian metal band VICIOUS CRUSADE) the perfect female voice that would give his full-on frontal electronic venture a very unique dimension. And with the extended line-up to a trio with the addition of Taelih on synths, it took them only a few months before DIFFUZION started catching the attention of the masses through their highly explosive live performances across Eastern Europe.
At the end of 2007, local label Machinist Records released their debut album "Wired Tunes" as a very limited edition with the intention of also giving the band the possibility to be heard by the international scene and media. With this action in motion, it took only a few weeks for DIFFUZION to sign with Belgium's Alfa Matrix label whose A&R Manager had discovered the band while he was visiting the Side-Line magazine office.
Belarusian DIFFUZION offer a combination of straight-on EBM and upbeat dark electro with a clear melodic synth pop touch while Xev's charismatic and intriguing female vocals guarantee an impressive diversity to the album through her ability to go from harsh bitchy distorted vox to warmer dreamy singing. A solid debut album from Eastern Europe, full of cold upbeat electronics with striking female vox that will rapidly place DIFFUZION on the forefront of the female-fronted league of EBM/industrial acts alongside bands like AYRIA, PZYCHOBITCH, etc.
2008 will see the release of the album "Body Code" which will also be available as a limited double-cd carton box edition including a bonus disc with exclusive bonus songs and special remixes.
