In my opinion this new Klutae album is in the tradition of older Klute material ("Excluded/Excepeted" and "Excel") and not to be seen as if Larsen changed the style of this project.
If you like sampled guitars and ironic lyrics you should be satisfied with tracks like "burnout biker", "dirty bitch" or "fuck-a-billy" not to mention that "desert storm 2006" should please the fans.
Songs like "we are sinners (we will all burn in hell)", "i`m a fat faggot in a leather jacket" and are funny and catchy due to its melody while "who`s afarid of the gynaecologist" is just a funny track.
But even with this alter ego project there are deep, meaningful songs like "please don`t cry", "hey didn`t you destroy me".
And - as Mr. larsen likes other bands as well - New Order´s "Blue Monday" and The Human League`s "Circus Of Death" are quite good cover versions of these famous songs.
The "Roadkill EP" (available only with the limited 2CD release) shows us instrumentals, a different version of "fuck-a-billy" as well as the remastered "original" version of "desert storm".
I recommend this release to all Leaether Strip - and Klut(a)e - fans.
