In 2000 O.V.N.I. was formed when the members of the London-based break beat / dance pop band SEIZE, decided to venture into the darker realms of the human psyche using twisted beats and bone crunching basslines. This time with Steven taking the lead vocals and Sandie and Rosie being joined on keyboard duties by 4th member Jessie. With vocal comparisons to Eskil Simonsson (COVENANT) and Phil Oakey (HUMAN LEAGUE) and musically likened to the bastard child of Daniel Myer (HAUJOBB) and APHEX TWIN; O.V.N.I. universally defies any categorisation. Call it future pop! Call it EBM dance! Call it break beat IDM! Make up your own mind. For our part, we best describe their songs as “Tek-pop tunes for dancing humanoids”… After having extensively toured the UK and Germany over the past few years, the alluring combo will now release their long awaited debut album “Objet Volant Non Identifié” (OVNI meaning UFO in French) on Alfa Matrix in Summer 2005, preceded by the eclectic “Good For You” club-EP.
