Bio
It is with the challenging motto of offering an ultimate “cross-over of sounds” that the CRISK. project was born in 2003 in Köln – Germany. With an impressive wide range of influences going from Goldfrapp to Fischerspooner through Miss Kitten or other Atari Teenage Riot, the CRISK. quartet offer us a fresh and detonating melting pot of underground music genres mixing groovey electronica, head-banging punk, catchy electro pop and big beat industrial.
Frontwoman DJane Christiane Koch is the ultimate chameleon able to jump vocal styles with a disturbing natural facility, taking the harsh powerful way on Mike Silence’s straighter and harder tracks while effortlessly switching to a clearer singing mode on his more melodic dancey tunes.
100% electronic beats guaranteed, CRISK. is a distilled cocktail mix of T RAUMSCHMIER, PZYCHOBITCH, CLIENT, FRONT 242, PRODIGY or even DAFT PUNK with provocative German female vocals and tongue-in-cheek lyrics written by Mona Maybach. Electro Clash? Punk Pop? Techno Body Music? CRISK. is all of this and much more all at the same time, brilliantly putting together the best elements of the 70’s provocative punk movement, the unmistakable hooks and melodies of the 80’s, the fast and fat techno beats of the 90’s and the naïve “less is more” touch of the new millennium… Without mentioning the impressive imagery work of their much talented video-clip director Mark Feuerstake who is in charge of the band’s visual aspects.
